The team made their debut in Tampa in 2004 just barely missing the cut by a few points. In 2004 Richmond Riot played Division 3 and finished out the season in 10th place overall without playing one of the events. This year the team started out in Huntington Beach with a 6th and Tampa with a 17th place finish in Division 2. The team felt there was better competition in Division 1 and that more potential sponsorship opportunities would arise if the team moved up to Division 1. The first event in this new level the team made it to Sunday in Denver placing 14th. Their next event, San Diego, the team placed 6th after losing a hard fought game to SD Aftermath. The team looks forward to making a big statement at the final NPPL event of the year down in Miami, Florida. Richmond Riot is currently ranked in 11th place.
